SANCTUARY MOVEMENT - It’s simple to be in the opposition. Combating policies and programs you don’t agree with is the duty of any policymaker. Standing up for those under attack or in the crosshairs of dogmatic extremism is righteous regardless of which end of the spectrum we find ourselves. But policymakers need to do more than oppose. CYBER WARS - It seems almost every week there’s a terrifying news headline describing yet another hacking attack on our country’s business, government or political information infrastructure. We are indeed in the midst of the “cyber wars.”

MISSION STATEMENT - Sometime this year in the maternity ward of a California hospital a Latino baby quietly but significantly will change the course of history.

WHERE NEWS COMES FROM MATTERS - We probably don’t know where our tomatoes come from anymore than where our bread is baked or where our chickens are raised. The same now goes for our news and information.
